Installation & setup

Yes. Glance is built specifically for WooCommerce stores and uses WooCommerce's own fast search pipeline. It will not activate without WooCommerce.

Four ways: [glance_search] shortcode, WordPress widget, Gutenberg block, or Elementor widget. Place it in your header, sidebar, or page content. No template editing needed.

About 60 seconds. Install from wordpress.org, activate, and the default settings work out of the box. Most stores never touch the configuration.

Yes, Glance searches WooCommerce products regardless of product type (simple, variable, subscription, booking).

Features & behavior

Free version: product title and SKU by default, with optional toggles for description, short description, and tags. Pro adds variation attributes (color, size, material, etc.).

Repeat searches return almost instantly thanks to smart caching. First-time searches usually return in well under a tenth of a second on a standard host. Even on stores with thousands of products, customers see results before they finish typing the next letter.

Yes. Customers can use Arrow keys to move through results, Enter to open one, Escape or Tab to close. Screen readers announce results properly, and animations respect your operating system's reduced-motion setting.

On screens below the configurable breakpoint (default 768px), Glance opens a full-screen overlay with safe-area insets for notched iPhones, body scroll lock, and a dedicated close button.

Compatibility

Unlikely. Glance ships with dedicated integrations for Shoptimizer, Astra, and Kadence, plus defensive CSS that protects its layout from aggressive theme overrides. Tested on 15+ popular themes including Divi, GeneratePress, Flatsome, and OceanWP.

Yes. Results are filtered to the active language automatically in the free version. Pro adds full WPML and Polylang support with language-keyed caching.

Yes: full Site Editing support since v1.4.0. Glance's assets enqueue correctly in block-based headers and templates.

Yes. Search requests are excluded from page cache automatically. Your customers never get stale results. Glance also takes advantage of WordPress's built-in caching to stay fast on busy stores.

Pricing & licensing

No. Free is free forever. Most stores never need to upgrade.

The free version is complete for most stores. Pro is for stores that need more results, full color customization, category and variation search, advanced analytics with CSV export, and multilingual support. See the side-by-side comparison on the Pricing page.

Freemius offers a 30-day money-back guarantee: buy, install, use it on your real store, and refund if it doesn't deliver.

The Free version continues to run. Pro features stop working, but your search bar stays live and your settings are preserved.

Customization & support

Yes. Glance is open for customization. Your developer can adjust how searches behave, how results display, or how it integrates with your specific theme. Most stores never need this, but the option is there.

Pro users get priority email support. Free users can use the WordPress.org support forum. Either way, you reach a real person, not a bot.

Glance ships a major release every 1–2 months and security patches within days. See the Changelog for the full history.

Your store's search. Fixed.

Install the free version in 60 seconds. No configuration required. Works out of the box with any WooCommerce store.
